SNEHPAD has been working with women artisans
for over 20 years, empowering them and
transforming their livelihoods through skill
development and sustainable opportunities. In
2023, the Bekajan Artistic Handloom Weaving
Producer Company was established under
SNEHPAD to further strengthen this mission.
Today, the artisans produce a wide range of high
quality handloom products, including Assamese
Pride Gamocha, Mekhela Chador, cotton and Eri
stoles, Cheleng, as well as furnishing items such
as table runners, cushion covers, curtains, and
mat sets, showcasing the cultural heritage of
Assam with pride.
